The purpose of research study is to determine the influence of an employment status towards employee performance at PT. Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk in
Drawing Business Unit whereas there have been a decline in performance and motivation from contract employees even though they have received the same payment and facilities as permanent employees.
Research study is participatory observation systems through qualitative
research methods and 16 sampel is taken through population of 65 employees contract PT. Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk.

The regression coefficient analysis results have been obtained positive and
significant, the correlation coefficient analysis result have also shown the value
R = 0.547, T hitung 2.442 and the value Sign = 0.028 as status influences the
employee’s performance. This means that there is simultaneous relationships between the contract employee status and the performance of employees.
Therefore suggestion for the company to provide certainty of employment status as to declare permanent employees for those who have worked for more than 2 (two) years and have passed the contract renewal 1 (one) time within a period of 1 (one) year according to the government regulation of UU No. 13/2003 of Article 50 paragraph 1.
